We experimented with the Mighty Open House newsletter in August and people seemed to enjoy it, so we’re back with our second edition. Our goal with Open House is to give our community a transparent view into our challenges, successes, and product roadmap.
In this edition, we share more details on the exciting launches that we have coming later this year and ask for your opinion on some concepts that we’re working on.

SHAMROCK GREEN IS READY TO ROCK

We’ve been working closely with our partners in Asia to perfect the look of the new Shamrock Green Mighty and we recently approved the first batch for production. We have a limited number of Shamrock Greens available for pre-order from our website. Be sure to purchase today to guarantee that you get yours before December 25th. We will likely have another batch made in the future, but they won’t be available until early 2020.
WATERPROOF MIGHTYS ARE BEING ASSEMBLED AS WE SPEAK
Final stage of development with our waterproofing partner, Audioflood
The cool machine below is called an ultrasonic welder. We use a machine like this to weld together Mighty’s front and back housing to ensure that the electronics inside are safe and that the housing doesn’t open when Mighty is dropped. For the waterproof Mighty, Audioflood has created a new housing that’s custom built to sustain full submersion in water. They’re using the machine below to weld together the waterproof housing. As soon as this process is complete, we’ll make the waterproof Mighty available for sale in limited quantities. Finally, a Mighty that you can take into the pool, the shower, the ocean, or the Nalgene water bottle below =].
WORKOUT PLAYLISTS JUST FOR MIGHTY
We’re partnering with Topsify to bring you customized workout playlists
In the coming months, we’ll push an app update to iOS users that will include a new playlist category on the Browse screen called Workout by Topsify. This is our first experiment at bringing customized, relevant content to the Mighty community. Our friends at Topsify, a playlist creation company that is part of Warner Music Group, have created four awesome workout playlists just for Mighty that will be updated on a regular basis. We’re excited to see how you all interact with the playlists and to hear your feedback so we can make improvements over time. Stay tuned for more.
YAY OR NAY: CAROUSEL-STYLE PLAYLISTS IN THE MIGHTY APP
We want to make it super simple to find and sync stuff to Mighty
Some of you have asked for a quicker and easier way to find and sync playlists to Mighty. We’re listening and we’re working on a few concepts, including the carousel-style playlists that you see below. This design borrows the Spotify app, which does a great job at making it easy to visually scroll through lots of content quickly. In this concept, users will be able to select playlists to sync simply by tapping on the playlist artwork and tapping the sync button. Endel is live on iOS (including a standalone Apple Watch app!), Android, Alexa, Twitch and Web. They’re featured and supported by Apple worldwide. They also have a milestone distribution deal with Warner Music, which was covered by The Guardian, WIRED, The New Yorker, WSJ, etc.
