How water resistant is Mighty Wave?
The Mighty Wave has a waterproof rating of IPX7. It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for 30 minutes without any damage. That means Wave is a great option for swimming, paddle boarding or any water sport.
Does the Wave come with wired earbuds?
Yes. Listening to music underwater requires special earbuds and a good seal which is why we include earbud tips. Be sure to see which earbud tips work best for your ear canal.
Does Wave work with wired and Bluetooth headphones?
Yes. Mighty Wave has a standard audio jack for traditional wired headsets and it can also be paired with Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Note that Bluetooth does not work underwater so wired headphones are optimal.
I get water leakage in my ear while swimming. How can I improve the seal?
Find the 3-ringed earbud tips that fits you best. Use two hands: one hand to pull your outer ear or earlobe outwards to straighten the ear canal, the other hand to insert the earbud. While inserting the earbud, use a circular motion to wiggle it inwards. If desired: place a light coat of petroleum jelly or coconut oil to the outer surface of the earbud rings. Always be mindful of not putting earbuds or tips too deep into your ear canal.
Does Mighty Wave Float?
Yes. Mighty Wave will float if you drop it in the pool or if it comes unclipped while in the water.
Do I need a smartphone?
Yes. You currently need a smartphone running iOS or Android to sync your playlists to Mighty.
Do I need Spotify Premium?
Yes. You need Spotify Premium or Spotify Family to use Spotify on Mighty.
Does Mighty work in other languages?
The Mighty voice prompts are currently in English only. We are working on translating voice prompts into other languages.
Does Mighty play MP3s?
Mighty is designed to take your streaming music offline. Mighty currently plays Spotify and Amazon Music* (Amazon Music integration coming soon) playlists and podcasts. It does not work with MP3s
How much storage place does Mighty have?
Mighty holds 1,000+ songs. That is equivalent to 8GB.
When will my Mighty work with Amazon Music?
Amazon Music functionality was released for Mighty 3 in February of 2024.
Best swimming music option since swim-man’s underwater iPod. I can still use my swim-man headphones and they’re much better - hey mighty, maybe you can get those instead????
Sound not quite up to the iPod quality but Otherwise an absolute legend of a little system.
So glad we found you mighty! Xx
I love using my mighty I’ve had it for three years now and it’s been through some pretty rough times with me I’ve fallen off of a four stair directly onto the mighty and still operated afterwards it’s splash proof and has a pretty good battery life my It does have some issues and inconveniences though rn I can’t refresh my playlists idk if I have too many songs or what on it I can still sync playlists though but as I said earlier I’ve had it for three years a couple inconveniences are it takes sometimes up to 5 minutes to find a specific song if you have a big playlist or are unfamiliar with your playlist it also takes like a minute to turn on and up to two minute to connect to a Bluetooth device otherwise though it works amazingly and is great for offline listening and tougher use that your phone couldn’t handle
Truly enjoy my Mighty while swimming. I wish the cord to earbuds were a bit longer though
