Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the Mighty Audio app?
Yes. Mighty doesn’t pair like a regular Bluetooth speaker, so if your phone shows “Mighty3_#### is not supported”, you’ve tried to pair it from your phone’s Bluetooth settings. Download the free Mighty Audio app from the App Store or Google Play and follow the setup steps.
Which music services can I use?
Mighty works with Amazon Music. To sync your own curated playlists you’ll need an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription; Amazon Music Prime works too, but has limits on which playlists can be downloaded. If you use Spotify on your Mighty, Spotify support ends on April 21, 2027, so now is a good time to switch. Mighty can’t play MP3 files or other music services.
Spotify support is ending. What should I do?
Mighty’s Spotify support ends on April 21, 2027. After that, you won’t be able to sync or refresh Spotify playlists on your Mighty. Your Mighty keeps working with Amazon Music, so switching now is the easiest path:
- In the Mighty Audio app, go to Connections and connect your Amazon Music account.
- Create or follow your favorite playlists in Amazon Music.
- Sync them to your Mighty as usual.
To sync your own curated playlists you’ll need Amazon Music Unlimited; Amazon Music Prime works with limits.
How do I sync playlists?
- Keep your Mighty plugged in and close to your WiFi router.
- In the app, tap +, choose a playlist and tap Sync Now.
- Sync one playlist at a time; 100 songs or fewer per sync works best. Expect about 5–10 minutes per 50 songs.
- Don’t press any buttons on your Mighty while it syncs.
I synced a playlist, but it isn’t on my Mighty.
- Using Amazon Prime? Only a limited number of Amazon-made “All Access” playlists can download to Mighty. Playlists you create need Amazon Music Unlimited.
- Only playlists you created or follow show in the app. Add albums to a playlist first.
- Big playlists can fail. Sync one playlist at a time, 100 songs or fewer.
- We recommend keeping Mighty plugged in and close to WiFi, and don’t press its buttons while the light blinks green.
- After a sync, wait 10–20 seconds for Mighty to reconnect, then swipe down on the Home screen to refresh.
- To check, plug in headphones and press Play.
Added songs to a playlist that’s already on your Mighty? Refresh it, or turn on Stay Fresh to do it every night.
Why can’t I see an album or a song in the app?
Mighty syncs playlists. Add the album or songs to a playlist you created or follow in Amazon Music, then swipe down in the app to refresh.
My Mighty won’t connect to WiFi.
- Keep Mighty plugged in and move it close to your router.
- In the app, go to Connections, tap the WiFi icon, choose your network and enter the password carefully.
- WiFi that opens a sign-in page (hotels, schools, some offices) won’t work, because there’s no way to complete that sign-in from Mighty.
- Still stuck? Turn Mighty off (hold Play until the light turns orange), close the app, then reopen it and try again.
- You can also connect Mighty to your phone’s hotspot.
How do I connect Bluetooth headphones or a speaker?
- Make sure your Mighty is on and connected in the app (green check).
- Disconnect the headphones from your phone or any other device.
- Put the headphones in pairing mode, then swipe down on the app’s Connections screen.
- Tap + next to them. You only need to pair once.
My wired headphones stopped working.
- Push the plug all the way into the headphone port.
- If Bluetooth headphones or a speaker were connected, Mighty may still be sending sound there. Turn them off, or remove them from Connections in the app (swipe left, tap the trash icon).
- Try another pair of headphones to rule out the cable.
- Restart Mighty: hold Play for about 15 seconds until the light turns off and stays off, then hold Play for 1–3 seconds until it comes back on. Reconnect it in the app afterward.

What do the lights mean?
- Blinking white: charging
- Solid white: fully charged
- Fast blinking green: downloading music or an update over WiFi. If it’s plugged in, it’s still charging; the white charging light comes back when the download finishes.
- Solid green: starting up
- Blinking green: on and ready
- Blinking blue: waiting to pair (press Play)
- Blinking orange: low battery
- Solid orange: powering off
How should I charge my Mighty?
Use the included cable with a USB wall adapter (5V, 0.5–1A) or a computer’s USB port. Don’t charge from a phone or a fast charger, and keep Mighty plugged in while it syncs or updates.
My Mighty won’t turn on or charge.
- Use the Mighty cable with a USB wall adapter (5V, 0.5–1A) or a computer that’s switched on. Phones, fast chargers and unpowered hubs won’t charge it, and other cables can damage it.
- Push both ends of the cable all the way in; a loose connection is the most common cause. The light blinks white while it charges.
- If the battery was completely empty, leave it charging for a while before turning it on.
- Hold Play until the light comes on. Starting up can take up to 30 seconds.
- Try a different adapter or USB port.

How do software updates work?
When an update is ready, the app tells you automatically as soon as your Mighty connects. To check yourself, open the menu (☰) and tap Software Update.
Mighty needs a WiFi connection to get the update, and it must be plugged into a charger for the update to start. Don’t press its buttons until it restarts. Have more than one Mighty? Connect and update each one.
App updates come through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I reset my Mighty?
Try a restart first. If Mighty seems unresponsive, press and hold Play for about 15 seconds, until the light turns off and stays off, then let go. Turn it back on by holding Play for 1–3 seconds, until the light comes on. You may need to reconnect Mighty in the app afterward.
If that doesn’t help, a factory reset clears your playlists and Bluetooth pairings. In the app, open the menu (☰), tap Support, then Factory Reset. When it’s done, turn Mighty back on and set it up again in the app.
Can I use more than one Mighty?
Yes. Several Mightys can share one app, one Mighty account and one Amazon Music account. Amazon Music Unlimited allows up to 10 offline devices. Pair each one with only that Mighty switched on, and give it its own name.
