Clunky but worth the extra effort

We purchased for our 11 year old to use, to help cut down on some of his screen time, and it’s been fantastic for music. It allows him access to his playlists on the bus and anytime there isn’t internet as well, without having to give him a phone.
It’s a bit of a pain for audiobooks, at least for us, as he blows through them every couple days. We’ve become so used to “on demand” everything, that waiting the time it takes to sync a new audiobook onto the Mighty feels like a huge inconvenience. Maybe it’s not a bad thing :) It just requires a little pre-planning in terms of getting a new one on there before he needs/wants it, which I’d say is actually great for building that skill in a kid.
All in all, we’re pretty happy with it.

My kid loves it

We wanted a phone free / app free device so our 11 year old could enjoy music without it being a phone based thing. He loves it. We build playlists and mix it up weekly. He takes it on the bus, biking and in walks. He sings songs all day long. It’s the best. Highly recommend. This is as close to the old iPod was we can get and we’ll take it!!

AMAZING player...but not the best app

The music quality is really good, and I love all the features on the device, as well as the amazing amount of storage. Thank you so much, Mighty Team, for providing me with this device. As Andrew H mentioned below, the syncing is pretty slow; you just have to let it sync overnight for the best results. The screen-free aspect is one of the best parts of the device...and I love it!
