What is the "disconnected movement?"

We love streaming music but hate lugging around our bulky smartphone during runs, workouts, and commutes. We’re sick of paying data overages and draining our battery life just to stream music. We want to disconnect from digital distraction and be one with our music.

What's your relationship with Spotify?

Mighty is an official Spotify partner.

Connecting Mighty to the Mobile App

Does Mighty work with other apps or just Spotify?

Mighty currently only works with Spotify and requires a Premium account. That being said, we have all of the infrastructure in place to sync with a variety of services. We are currently exploring integrations with other music streaming services and other audio content services, like audiobooks and podcasts.

Does Mighty work with non-paying Spotify accounts?

Mighty only works with Spotify Premium accounts. You can upgrade and get the first month free.

What version of iOS and Android does Mighty work with?

Mighty is fully compatible with iOS 9.3.5 and above (iPhone 5 and newer) and Android Lollipop and Marshmallow (we are currently testing Nougat and plan to support it). Mighty may not be compatible with iOS devices other than iPhones. Mighty may not be compatible with Android-based tablets.

Can Mighty sync with a laptop/computer? Is there a Mighty desktop app?

Mighty can currently only be synced using an iOS (iPhone/iPad) or Android device. We want to make is as easy as possible to update your playlists, so we’ve completely done away with cords and computer. All you need is the Mighty mobile app installed on a smartphone and you’re good to go.

Why do you need WiFi to sync music?

WiFi is used to sync your music to your Mighty device as quickly as possible.

Can I log out of my Mighty account and have all of my information stored when I log back in?

Logging out of your Mighty account will delete all music and user information stored on your Mighty (including all saved information such as Wifi networks, activity, etc.).

Using the Mobile App

How long does it take to sync music to Mighty?

Exact sync speed depends on your WiFi connection. It generally takes about one minute to sync fifty songs. So it can take up to ten minutes to completely fill Mighty with music, but swapping in a few playlists shouldn’t take more than a minute.

Do you have to sync the same playlists to your phone and to Mighty?

No! The playlists that you sync to Mighty are only stored on the Mighty device, not on your smartphone.

Can Mighty play albums and songs or just playlists?

Currently, Mighty only works with playlists. We decided to stick with playlists so that Mighty is super easy to use with physical buttons. Each time you press the playlist selector button, Mighty will scroll through your synced playlists and will speak the name of the selected playlist to you.

If you want to sync an album or a collection of songs, just group them into a playlist and give it an intuitive name.

Can you tether from your phone to sync music to Mighty?

Yes, however not all tethering subscriptions may be supported.

Can I sync my playlists while listening to my music?

You must pause your music to use the mobile app, they cannot be used in conjunction.

Why are my playlists not on my Mighty?

Logging out of your Spotify account in the mobile app will delete all songs stored on your Mighty while user is connected to mobile app. If user is not connected to mobile app, all songs stored on the Mighty will be deleted when user reconnects to the mobile app.

This is partially to meet a Spotify policy to prevent two different Spotify accounts to have music stored on one single device.

Are the playlists I download on my phone the same as the playlists on my Mighty?

No! The playlists that you download on your phone are separate from the playlists you sync to Mighty. They can be the same playlists or completely different.

Listening to Your Music

Does Mighty work with headphone controls?

Each headphone has it’s own method for song navigation, so we can’t guarantee that any headphones will work. That being said, we’ve done testing and the majority of headphones do work with Mighty.

Why did music from my Mighty stop playing?

Disconnect your Mighty from the Mighty mobile app to enable your music to play.

How do I know what playlist is playing?

Voice activation will not be enabled when we release, but we’re actively working on this feature. We plan on releasing voice activation via a remote software update at some point in 2017. This functionality will allow you to speak commands to Mighty including “next playlist” and “play Thriller by Michael Jackson.”

Can Mighty shuffle songs?

Mighty will not be able to shuffle songs when we first release, but we plan to add shuffle functionality within playlists via a software update shortly after release.

Does Mighty actually stream music?

While Mighty does have WiFi and the capability to stream music, the primary way to play music is offline. The pain point we’re solving is to provide an on-the-go streaming music experience without a bulky smartphone. With 8GB of memory, users will have more than enough songs (48 hours).

Connecting to Bluetooth Accessories

Does Mighty work with Bluetooth headphones and speakers?

Yes, Mighty is compatible with both Bluetooth (and wired) headphones and Bluetooth speakers.

Which bluetooth headphones is Mighty compatible with?

Mighty is intended to work with all Bluetooth headsets. We've done a lot of testing and greater than 90% of headsets work.

Why won't my bluetooth connect?

You cannot connect to bluetooth accessories when something is plugged into the headphone jack.

Can I use Mighty in my car?

Yes, Mighty works just like any other Bluetooth device. If your car supports Bluetooth song playback, then Mighty will work. Mighty will also work with your car’s auxiliary-in port.

Power Management

How do you charge Mighty?

Mighty comes with a cord that plugs into the headphone jack and gets power through a standard USB charger.

How long does it take Mighty to fully charge?

About 40 minutes.

How do I know when the device needs to be charged?

You can connect your device to the Mighty mobile app and the Music tab will show the battery life percentage. Additionally, when your Mighty reaches only 10% battery life left, the device will blink orange and you will hear a beep in your headphones.

How do I know when the device is fully charged?

You can connect your device to the Mighty mobile app and the Music tab will show the battery life percentage. 

Why did my device just shut itself off?

Your Mighty is in Sleep mode. After 5 minutes of no activity, your Mighty will go to sleep to conserve battery.

I was holding my play/pause button trying to turn on my Mighty but now it doesn't work. Why?

After you shut off the device (pressing the center button for 3 seconds), if you try to turn on the device within 20 seconds, the Mighty may still be powering down in the background and holding the center button will not turn on the device. If you hold down the the center button too long (more than 8 seconds), the device will reset. Reset does not erase anything - it only requires you to reconnect to mobile app before you can play music offline.

Something is wrong with my device, is there a way to reset it?

Yes! Hold Play/pause button for 8 seconds and your Mighty should reset.

Why does it say "USB Device Not Recognized" when I plug Mighty into a Windows computer?

You can ignore this message because Mighty is only using your Windows computer for charging and not for any other type of communication or data transfer.


How many songs can Mighty hold?

About 1,000 songs at the highest Spotify audio quality, which is more than 48 hours of continuous music.

What's the battery life?

At least 5 hours of continuous playback, but we’re hoping to increase that to 12.

Is Mighty waterproof or water resistant?

Currently, Mighty is water resistant which means that Mighty won’t break if you get sweat on it or if it gets rained on for a few seconds. But it’s not fully waterproof, so you don’t want to take it into the pool with you.

We are currently in discussions with a company to make a waterproof version of Mighty. This was a top request among swimmers.

What codecs are supported for Bluetooth audio output?

We support the following A2DP compliant codecs:

Orders and Shipping

Do you guys collect customs duties/VAT for international shipments?

No, we do not. All international packages may be subject to duties/VAT. Please check with your local customs office and government for assessing the duties for your country.

Who are you using for shipping and what are the expected delivery times?

For domestic US, we are using USPS and the delivery times are estimated to be 2-3 days. For international orders, the timing varies depending on the regional carrier.

What is Mighty's Return/Exchange policy?

Shipping Damages - Upon Receipt

Please review your shipment and let us know of any shipping damages within 24 hours. We will gladly send you a replacement.  Please contact heyo@bemighty.com for return instructions.

Within 30 Days

If you are not satisfied with your purchase from bemighty.com, you may request a full refund for the purchased price of the product (not including shipping) within 30 days from the date of purchase. Please contact us at heyo@bemighty.com for return instructions and a return authorization number. You will be responsible for paying for shipping to return your item, except where prohibited by law.  Mighty products purchased other than through bemighty.com must be returned in accordance with their respective refund and return policy.
To be eligible for a full refund, the product must be in the same condition as you received it and must be in its original packaging. Mighty will not provide refunds for any product which is damaged, missing parts, and/or not in its original packaging.  We may request a receipt or original proof of purchase prior to issuing a full refund.  Once your returned product is received and inspected by Mighty, we will notify you via email (1) that we received your product; and (2) whether your request for a refund has been approved or rejected.  If your request for refund is rejected, we will give our reasoning and, if possible, provide ways to remedy the rejected request for a refund.  If approved, your refund will be processed through the original method of payment within 15 business days.
Exchanges of Mighty products only apply if the product is found defective per our Limited Warranty.

After 30 Days

After 30 days, we may replace your product in accordance with our Limited Warranty policy only. We cannot accept returned products damaged through normal wear and tear. 

Mighty's 1-Year Limited Warranty?

What is Mighty's 1-Year Limited Warranty?

Mighty Audio, Inc. (“Mighty”) warrants that the Mighty device (‘the “Product”) shall be free from material defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase.

What does this warranty cover?

This Limited Warranty covers any material defects in the materials and workmanship of the Product. This Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser and are limited to the terms found in this document. This Limited Warranty is only valid in territories and jurisdictions where the Product is sold by Mighty itself or authorized agents/resellers, and is valid to the extent permitted by law.

How long is the period of coverage?

The Limited Warranty is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”).
Any replacement product will be warranted to the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days from receiving the replacement product, whichever is longer.

What will we do to correct problems?

If a defect arises within the Warranty Period, Mighty will, at its option:
  • Repair the Product at no charge
  • Replace the Product with a new or refurbished Product
Shipping and handling charges may apply except where prohibited by law. It is likely that any data stored in the Product will be lost or reformatted during repair of the product, and Mighty will not be responsible for any such damage or loss. Please ensure to sync your Product with our Mobile App to avoid any interruption or loss of data.

How do you get service?

To obtain service, you must receive authorization from our customer service team. Please contact the customer service team at heyo@bemighty.com to request a warranty return authorization. You must deliver the Product, in its original packaging or packaging providing equal protection to the address provided by the customer service team. We may require a receipt or original proof of purchase.

What does this warranty not cover?

This Limited Warranty applies only to the Product manufactured by or for Mighty which can be identified with the “Mighty” trademark or logo.  This Limited Warranty does not apply to the following:
  • Products and services other than the Product
  • Mighty merchandise including but not limited to shirts, and other apparel
  • Non-Mighty hardware products
  • Consumables (such as batteries)
  • Software embedded in the Product and related services provided by Mighty
Additionally, this warranty does not apply to the following situations:
  • Damages caused by normal wear and tear, and aging such as discoloration
  • Damages caused by use with non-Mighty products
  • Damages caused by abuse, accident, flood, fire, earthquake, misuse, or other external causes
  • Damages caused by using the Product outside of its intended use
  • Damages caused by improper voltage or power supply
  • Damages caused by services performed by anyone who is not an approved agent of Mighty

What will we not do?

Mighty will not recover or reinstall software programs and user data.

What must you do to keep the warranty in effect?

This Limited Warranty does not apply to a Product or part of the Product that has been modified or altered by anyone who is not an approved agent of Mighty.

How does state law relate to this warranty?

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that may provide the application of the law of another jurisdiction.

Other Info

Mighty does not warrant that the operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free.
No Mighty representative, seller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired.

Consumers in some jurisdictions may have legal rights under applicable national legislation governing the sale of consumer goods, including, without limitation, national laws implementing EC Directive 99/44. These rights are not affected by the warranties in this Limited Warranty.
